Those Ledges...

Those small ledges in Pokemon. Why can't you jump over them?? Huh?? HM Ledge Climb make it happen Game Freak! lol, was wondering what gen I should do and I was like let's do Gold. And I chose Totodile cause he was my starter pokemon in Soul Silver. Plus he's so derp when he's a totodile <3.
